Meningitis bacterianas (II): estudio analítico, terapéutico y evolutivo. Revisión de 7 años

Se comunican los datos de laboratorio, el tratamiento y la evolución de 84 casos de meningitis bacteriana. El número de leucocitos sanguíneos y de células en LCR estaba disminuido en los niños con sepsis rneningocócica, comparado a otros grupos de meningitis. La mortalidad total fue del 2,3% y del 3,3% en el grupo de meningitis meningocócica. No hubo ningún fallecimiento entre las meningitis por Haemophilus influenzae y por gérmen desconocido. Abstract The laboratory findings, the therapy and the folowup of 84 cases of bacteria1 meningitis are reported. The number of leukocytes in blood and cells in CRF was decreased in the children with meningococcal sepsis compared to other groups of meningitis. The total mortality was 2.3% and 3.3% in the group of meningococcal meningitis. There was not deceases in meningitis by Haemophilus influenzae and meningitis due to unknown gem.
