Endocarditis infecciosa en miocardiopatía hipertrófica idiopática

Presentamos un caso de endocarditis infecciosa sobre miocardiopatía hipertrófica en un varón de 13 años que consulta por síndrome febril y soplo cardíaco. Ocasionalmente se descubre la miocardiopatía hipertrófica y con posterioridad se detecta una vegetación en valva septal de la mitral. Se cura la endocarditis con antibioterapia, quedando como secuela insuficiencia mitral leve. Abstract One case of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy complicated with infectious endocarditis is reported. He was a 13 years old male with fever and cardiac murmur, then the hypertrophic cardyomyopathy was discovered and afterwards a vegetative lesion in mitral valve. The endocarditis was cured with antibiotics, resting only a sequelar mitral insufficiency.
